Anyone who follows my blog has probably noticed that I haven't really been on here for months. There has been so much going on in my life, that I haven't really had the time to blog. But coming back, I saw that I have 46 messages. Only ONE was actually from someone who addressed me personally. The internet is so fickle - I used to think that Xanga was a great community of individuals who really cared about one another. But increasingly, I see that, aside from one or two close connections, no one on here really cares about anyone else. Too bad.
Just in case you all were curious, the things in my life? Six finals, sister's wedding, and moving to a new city. Maybe more later.

Welcome back.
I was wondering why I never saw newer posts of yours anymore.
I have missed you,and am glad to see you post.
I had been wondering where you were. I get the same reaction when I go away. Tons of mass messages and maybe a handful of people asking if I was OK.
I can understand your feelings. Life's hassles can get in the way of blogging. I've been through that.
I agree that Xangans don't normally care about one another. Many just don't like reciprocate whenever their blogs are commended. That is a shame.
It is great seeing you here again to post this. Take care.
What, you know I care about you!
This may sound weird but I missed you. But as we are not are friends nor even friendly, I missed you silently. You were one of the smart ones I never saw anymore.
D: I thought you had left w/o telling!Â
Welcome back. I, too, have neglected my blog. *le sigh*
All of those things are stressful and time consuming! I'm sorry you feel neglected on Xanga. I think a lot of people leave in the summer when life gets busier and the weather is nice.
I did notice you hadn't been around! Six finals...yuck...good luck on those, and the wedding, and especially moving cause that can be the most stressful of all.
Are you moving out of Georgia?
(hugs) Long time, no talkie. Take all the time you really need, just as long as you aren't planning on dipping out on us. Xanga is already losing members as we speak. Haha! But I did notice you were gone.
@SpongeBobScaredyPants - No, I'm just spending the summer in Pittsburgh.
i have a direct line to you so... i figured whenever you're on AIM... i could hit you up on there... xanga as a means to stay connected hadn't occured to me...
well, i sure noticed. i thought you defriended me. ha. whew.
I consider it normal to take a leave from Xanga every now and then. Don't feel ignored. How did your finals go? Are you still waiting for results?
Welcome back. The mass-mailing thing kind of pisses me off too. Xanga needs a spam folder.
Damn six, much luck!
Hm. The sad thing is, fickle people don't only exist on the Internet.
Honestly, it's hard to find people who truly care sometimes.
I noticed you were gone actually. But I don't usually message people about it because I know they have their reasons. Congratulations on so many good things happening in your life, hope when you have a spare moment you come on xanga and give us an update.
Good luck on your finals. Hope the wedding goes well for your sis. Where you planing to move to?
I have wondered where you were at. I am sorry I didn't take the time to send you a message. I am a crappy friend.
what year of school did you just finish up? still planning on law school?
Haha same here. I have been absent (poking my head in around here once in a blue moon) for months as well, and for very similar reasons. And while my readership most likely pales in comparison to yours, it sure did dwindle upon my return.
On another note, I came back and realized there are new faces - and popular ones at that - that I have no idea who they are. And old faces that have shut down their accounts since I left. And old friends who have changed usernames, etc... I feel like I'm back in a different place.
Then I read around to catch up and realize nothing really has changed at all. The same back and forth, the same banter. The same questions, the same advice, the same controversies. Once you step away from it and come back, it all seems rather silly at times.
If you are done with your finals, congratulations. If not, then good luck on them! Stay sane, get sleep. Don't be like me. Hah...
lol I noticed, even though I only visit occasionally. What you said is all too true. I don't think it's just Xanga, either. I notice it everywhere I go. Online and in real life. Even friends and family, people I know outside the internet. Never hear from them, and I'll add them on myspace or facebook, and leave them comments, try to talk, and they never get back to me, never say anything to me, it's really annoying. And on the rare occasions these people actually deign to converse with
me, it always seems to be some tirade about how their life is so much
more difficult than everyone else's. People are just self-absorbed, in general. So few ever seem to take a genuine interest in anyone or anything other than themselves.
